Courses

1. How much do courses cost? Can you explain the pricing system?

Courses cost $270 per student. This fee is split into two payments - the first half ($135) is due up front and the second half is due at the halfway point of the course. For six month courses, this means that you will pay half when you confirm your enrollment and half at the three month point.

We also offer a pay-as-you-go system, where you pay $50/mo or $300 total in 6 monthly payments. You'll notify us of which option you want to do when you confirm your enrollment. Your first payment is due before the first class.

2. Are there discounts available for pricing?

We offer discounts for university & high school students. Please send us a valid transcript.

Students will need to reconfirm their status every year. Please send all inquires regarding discounts to our email - admin@virtualnihongo.org.

3. My instructor missed class (due to personal, health, or other reasons). What should I do?

Your instructor is responsible for notifying your class of any cancellations, as well as adjusting the schedule. Since you will cover the same amount of course content, there are no refunds for missing a course.

4. I confirmed my enrollment but I no longer want to participate. What should I do?

If you confirm your enrollment but do not want to participate in classes, please send us an email at admin@virtualnihongo.org. Please note - if you have already attended the second week of classes, we cannot give you a refund.

5. After taking classes for half of the course, I no longer want to continue. Do I still have to pay the second payment?

No. Please inform your instructor via email that you wish to drop their course.
If it's past the second half of the course, we cannot issue a refund for the second payment.

6. I can't make this week's course. What should I do?

If possible, send your instructor a quick email and go over the class recordings. Be aware that you might have to spend some more time outside of class catching up. Make sure to utilize your instructor's office hours to stay on track.

If possible, send your instructor a quick email with a heads up. If you know you have to a miss a lesson, please let the instructor know 24 hours ahead of time. For some reasons (medical, etc.) we understand this may not be possible, so just let your instructor know as soon as you can.
