We started Virtual Nihongo in order to combine our love for language with our dream to build a community. Our wish is to help support your Japanese language learning journey all the way until you can achieve your goals. We center our approach on human-to-human connection, meaning that we always try to develop a relationship of mutual respect between our instructors and their students.

We also run a YouTube channel, where we post culture or language-related content for free. Social media is key part of our goal to help support the spread of Japanese language learning.

Virtual Nihongo was incorporated in 2025 by our academic director, Masanori Shiomi. Our work is just getting started, and we're excited to show you what we have planned in the future.
