Services

How old do I need to be in order to use your services?

You must be at least 16 years of age or older.

I missed a class. What should I do?

We record classes so you can review the lesson you missed. It may be beneficial to send a message to your instructor as a heads up.

Is it possible to enroll once the deadline has passed?

What do I need to attend classes?

A device capable of running Zoom as well as a secure internet connection are required. You can view the system requirements for devices using Windows, macOS, and Linux here, and the system requirements for devices using iOS and Android here.

We highly recommend using a computer or laptop with a camera for classes.

I would like to cancel my enrollment before attending classes. What should I do?

I would like to drop a class after it has started. What should I do?

Payment

Are there certain regions where you can't accept students from?

Under U.S. law, we cannot provide services to the following regions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine. Furthermore, we may have difficulty accepting payments from Russia. We apologize for the inconvenience.

What payment options do you accept?

I used the subscription option to purchase a course but my monthly payment didn't work. What should I do?

The payment system we work with for subscriptions will automatically attempt to retry the payment method you entered at checkout in a few days.
We understand if there are factors preventing payment outside of your control, so we will try to minimize any impacts to your enrollment.

Corporate Solutions

When is payment due?

For corporate courses, payment is generally due within 30 days after the start of your first class.

How soon can we start lessons?

Shortly after your consultation meeting with our staff, we will reach out to you with possible quotes and options. Once you select a plan, we can usually start classes within a few weeks.

Can you work within a set budget?

During our consultation meeting, our staff can talk to you about your specific goals and budget. We'll work together to create a plan which seeks to satisfy as many of your goals as possible.

Our company is used to other videoconferencing platforms besides Zoom. Can you use the platforms we are familiar with?

In most cases, yes. However your company will be responsible for setting up an account for the instructor. Please let us know at the consultation meeting which platform you prefer.

Do you offer other services, like seminars and webinars?

Yes. We can work with you on topics ranging from business etiquette to cross-cultural communication. Please send us an email at marketing@virtualnihongo for more information.

We would like to add/remove students in the middle of courses. How can we do that?

If you are adding students and there are no open seats, the enrollment cost may increase. If you are removing students, we do not issue refunds for open seats.
